The Rays are 6.5 out of the playoffs, with 12 games remaining against the Sox and Yanks. The Sox and Yanks meet a few more times too. A few sweeps and the playoff picture gets very interesting. The Rays are the best team in baseball going back 25 games. BJ Upton is not a great player, but he’s better than Sam Fuld or Reid Brignac, his possible replacements.

Trade him in the offseason, as well as a pitcher, and get the load that Friedman always gets (praying Friedman is till in Tampa).
