Craig, the rule states 12 seconds from the time the batter is alert at the plate…not between pitches. Until guys stay in the box alert and waiting for the pitcher, why is this solely the fault of the pitchers???

    • cur68 - Sep 1, 2011 at 1:24 PM

That’s the question you ask Chris?!! The subject of Tiffany wearing pants comes up and you ask about the ’12 second rule’? My god man, you Philly guys need help. Like lots of it.

      • Chris Fiorentino - Sep 1, 2011 at 1:31 PM

cur, maybe you should have WATCHED the video before responding? I wasn’t going to give Craig the decency of a response on that subject after that tease he put on us. But since you did….hey Craig, they invented this thing called the Sun. You sit under it every once in a while and get something called a Tan.

      • cur68 - Sep 1, 2011 at 2:25 PM

Of course I watched the damn thing Chris. Never mind Craig’s lack of a tan. The subject of Tiffany’s pants status came up! Focus man!

  2. Alex K - Sep 1, 2011 at 1:19 PM

I expected shorts, at least. I hope you’re glad you made me throw up.

  3. cur68 - Sep 1, 2011 at 1:23 PM

Cheap. Real cheap. Sucked me in to watching that and I gotta look at your hairy pale gams Craig? Really? Like I haven’t suffered enough? And since YOU brought it up, IS Tiffany wearing any pants? All of HBT wants to know now, I’ll wager.

Thank the Maker I read the comments BEFORE watching any video clips. I just ate dinner, and I prefer it stay down!

  4. aceshigh11 - Sep 1, 2011 at 1:33 PM

    Hahaha…

Yeah, there was just no way in hell that my luck would go SO well today that I’d catch a glimpse of Tiffany’s gams.

Old pic, but still way nicer than Craig’s:

When you’re at the beach do kids come and try to knock you down because they think you’re sand art?

    • nolanwiffle - Sep 1, 2011 at 2:01 PM

I gotta remember this one. Permission to reuse, sir?

      • Jonny 5 - Sep 1, 2011 at 2:26 PM

        Anytime.

I believed the no pants gag to be a joke. Then I saw the white socks, and realized no one wears a suit with white socks. You really never wear pants huh.

As far as the roster expansion, I read somewhere along the line it is to allow teams to evaluate prospects. In the 2000′s it seems unnecessary, but in years past, before internet and TV when the rule was instituted, managers didn’t know hardly anything about guys in the minors. Organizations didn’t know that much, so they expanded the rosters to get a glimpse of what they have for the following years. I saw an interview with Joe Maddon a few weeks ago, and he said he had never even seen Matt Moore pitch. Realistically, with all the info available now, he that is not a problem. 30 years ago it might have been though.

    • Craig Calcaterra - Sep 1, 2011 at 3:43 PM

It’s always either shorts or jeans, depending on what I happen to be wearing that day. I never, ever wear the suit pants with the jacket.

      • Alex K - Sep 1, 2011 at 4:21 PM

Don’t try to cover yourself now. To all of our horror we saw what really goes on. Great, I just puked again.

Thanks fellow commenters, for now I shall not have to watch this video despite Craig’s baiting…
