I think whoever makes the medical decisions for the Twins organization needs to be put out of a job. Gibson is only the latest in a long string of mid-handled injuries for the Twins. Pat Neshek is example, Joe Mauer another example,…it’s so frustrating to watch this team try to “wait and see” approach only for the inevitable to happen 2 months later. Gibson could have had that surgery right away and been back two months earlier than he now will be.

They were kinda disappointing too. But they didn’t completely fall apart like the other teams. That’s why I didn’t add them to the list.

The Swarm are pretty decent though!

Yeah, pretty depressing year for Minnesota sports fans all-around. But hey, we got UMD football! It may be Division II, but they’ve got a mini-dynasty going, and beggars can’t be choosers.

Not surprising at all.

It’s interesting to think about the recent sports disasters in the Twin Cities.

Last year the Vikings were the division favorites. Got floored by injuries, the Metrodome collapsed, the entire season was a disaster.

Then come the Timberwolves. They had a bunch of up and coming young guys. People were genuinely excited for the season, expecting maybe 20-30 wins. They end up having the worst record in the NBA again. Their President make a fool of the franchise during the off season with awkward comments about players and the team. They fire their head coach just before the draft, and do the draft again with out a coach for the second consecutive year.

Now we have the Twins. Major injury after major injury. In the majors and minor leagues. Just about every starter is playing way under expectations. And they have the highest payroll in team history! Depressing.

At least we have the Minnesota Lynx, right?
