Most of our “Must-click links” are to longish feature stories or studies.  Not this one. It’s just to a picture.  But it’s worth your click.

Genius. Pure genius.

    Jeter’s Range and Posada’s Path…awesome.

      Leave Narcissus’s Corner Alone!

I’m going to get this, poster size, to put alongside this:

Clever, yes. Artistic and creative, yes. In terms of subject matter it’s much ado about nothing.

Son of Grander’s Landing! I freaking love it!!!

I will say that there should have been a Creature’s Lair (akin to Shelob’s Lair, where the Bleacher Creatures dwell) past Mariano’s Trench.

Burnett’s Ocean of Tears…HaHa….send that clown to Mordor.

Uh, Jeter’s Range is considerably too big.

Craig, I just wanted to point out that the map seems to have as many references to George RR Martins Westeros as it does to points in Middle Earth, if not more. And isn’t “Monteros Wardrobe Door” a C.S. Lewis reference?

    • joshshaine - Sep 2, 2011 at 4:36 PM

As it is labeled with Westeros and notes that it is with apologies to George R.R. Martin, and the title is in the tried and true Song of Fire and Ice fashion: A Bouquet of Bats…

I suppose you might have a point.

But expecting Craig to catch it? Not fair! He’s no Tyrion, after all..

If Borg Field is Middle Earth, what does that make Macondo Banana Massacre Field….Grand Fenwick?

Incidentally, speaking of Middle Earth, Kiwicricket, thought you’d appreciate this actual livery from an Air New Zealand 747:

    Enjoy, my precious.
