During the offseason, I remember Kenny being in the press stating that they were trying to decide whether to let Konerko go and basically blow the whole thing up and start getting ALOT younger, then Reinsdorf gave him the money for Konerko and Dunn.

sure looks like they shoulda zigged when they decided to zag

Now as an AVOWED White Sox hater (i'm a 30 year Tigers fan that lives in Detroit) i absolutely LOVE the chaos in that organization, however i am also a BASEBALL fan. I WANT them to figure this stuff out because as much as i hate them, when they are good, we have some EPIC games with them and i am all for that.

Sign Ozzie to a ten year contract because as much as people run their mouth about him (not like he doesn't give it right back) the man respects the game and it kills me to say this in front of people, he IS a pretty good manager.

Ozzie makes this rivalry fun, Kenny makes it uncomfortable.

I'm not a Sox fan or Sox hater.

But from where I sit the thing is a mess.

Ozzie thinks he's baseballs answer to Charles Barkley, but he doesn't comprehend that he's a manager and not a TC Commentator. The guy's not a very good manager, and one has to wonder where his priorities are when he still has a year remaining on his contract and in late August as the pennant race is heading into the stretch run he's politicking for a new contract instead of concentrating on getting his players up for pennant race.

The GM hasn't made a decent trade since he stole Danks. The roster is a hodge-podge of players.

They have a great pitching coach, but the rest of the coaches are questionable.

Not only is the Beckham thing a mystery, but then Rameriz moved to SS he too looked like a future star.

I do believe that Ozzie would be better with the Marlins and that LaRussa is in a mess in St. Louis, so he should be finishing his career back where it started. Whether Tony can work with Kenny Williams or needs to bring in his own GM is at issue.

Jerry Reinsdorf may remain loyal to "his people", but someone that has his ear needs to tell him that this era of Sox baseball is over, and it's time to move on.
