Logan Morrison, who injured his knee while making a sliding catch Friday, has left the Marlins in Atlanta and traveled back to Florida to be examined by team doctors.

Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports that Morrison will miss at least the three-game series against the Braves and being shut down for the season is always a strong possibility at this point.

Morrison has played well since returning from his brief demotion to Triple-A, hitting .271 with two homers and an .825 OPS in 15 games.

And the hits just keep on coming for the Feesh. Boyohboy. No sooner does the Curmudgeonly Undead claim that the regulars who have fought in the trenches all summer deserved the playing time, even at the expense of the EYPs, than his entire regular outfield goes ker-shplunk. Hey, Hanley didn’t leave his amulet with you guys when he went off to visit Dr. Andrews, did he? Well, might as well get a look at the kids now, eh?

Logan, be sure to take a nice longing look around Joeprodolsharklife Stadium before they go in looking for no structural damage. You open in the bandbox next season if you open here at all.
