Patella tendonitis in his right knee this year. Last year it was a thumb injury while sliding into second base that required surgery.

Make no mistakes. Utley’s injuries are a result of his ballsy play on the field and his desire to win at all costs. He doesn’t care about his body. He will give it up for his teammates.

Chase only missed 7 days with his concussion because, well, he’s Chase Utley and those other players you mentioned are not.

Utley would take a fastball to the face and keep playing. God broke the mold when he created Chase Utley.
