Last week the Marlins called up 21-year-old third base prospect Matt Dominguez and it turns out his dad, Fernando Dominguez, is a copy editor for the Los Angeles Times.
And after attending his son’s first game in the majors he wrote an excellent article about the experience:

Beautiful. You can’t help feeling their delight. But I’m glad to hear that Matt Dominguez is a stoic by nature; that’ll help survive the humbling fallow stretches to come. And with the Feesh, those stretches do come. Often.
