Let’s be realistic. Last year, Dewey’s revenue was around $900,000,000, and their Profits per Equity partner were around $1.6 or $1.7 Million….and Young Conaway was probably somewhere between $50-65 Million in total revenue. This tab doesn’t make a dent in either firm’s revenue stream.

These lawyers (I almost wrote shysters but I do not want to be sued.) primarily care about the bottom line. May I refer you to Rusty Hardin. His reputation has probably taken a hit due to his representation of Clemens, but his bank account has done quite well.

Maybe they needed to charge him more to compensate for the hit their reputation will take for representing him. It’s sad when you’re such a lowlife that a law firm’s image is damaged by your presence as a client. Of course they’ll overcharge him.
