I fully concur with both jdd428 and sportsdrenched. Ozzie and the White Sox fit each other like whitefish and lampreys. They belong together. I think that if Ozzie’s devoted admirers – not including the image in Ozzie’s mirror – really want to keep him in Chicago, they need to make their voices heard now.

Someone needs to write lyrics to the tune of “Keep the Dodgers in Brooklyn” in support of keeping Ozzie on the lakefront. You get it written; I’ll try to bring it to John Prine’s attention.

I like Ozzie from an entertainment stand point. Where ever he goes he should keep Tweeting, and having press conferences. The White Sox have a greater chance of being worse than Ozzie with their next manager than they do getting better. IMO

All you Sox fans who want Ozzie gone need to ask yourselves one thing: Is there really a better option out there? Sure this season has been a mess, but you can’t blame Ozzie – they’re actually still in 2nd place despite having at least three of the worst regulars in MLB (Dunn, Rios, Beckham – and Morel has been pretty putrid too) and an underachieving pitching staff. To be where they are in spite of the production they’re getting is actually a testament to Guillen’s ability. I don’t think there are any better candidates to replace him. So, Ozzie-haters, be careful what you wish for – we could wind up with someone like Quade.

Horribly enough, Scrooge McLoria seems to be interested. For some reason or other MLB has always been convinced that if you field a team with enough “prominent” Latin Americans on it in Macondo, they will come. Well, they don’t, they haven’t – and Ozzie won’t make the difference. He’ll just make this town look like more of a Palookaville than it already does.

The Sox have to get rid of there GM. Ozzie has nothing solid to work with. Maybe cleaning house is the way to go. I just don’t think making Ozzie the scapegoat by himself is a smart move. He did help them win a WS, that has to be worth something. I’m not a Sox fan but I personally like Ozzie.
