Astros to unveil new 50th anniversary logo

Sep 19, 2011, 8:02 PM EDT

new Astros logo

Capping off a banner 49th season, the Astros will unveil their 50th anniversary logo and plans for 2012 in a celebration prior to Thursday’s game.  Among those expected to attend the festivities are former stars Craig Biggio, Larry Dierker and Jimmy Winn.

I’m not sure if they’ll pick the logo I submitted, but fingers crossed.

The logo should be the Phillies championship banner.

Everyone’s logo should be the Phillies championship banner.

Why would we use the 2010 championship banner? Why not the 2011 World Champion Diamondbacks banner?

Because of the Oswalt and Pence trades

I vote for AAAAstros (affiliate team of the Philadelphia Phillies)

See Brad Lidge, Roy Oswalt and Hunter Pence call-ups.

How about a little respect for the “Toy Cannon,” Jimmy WYNN?
