Brian is still a young man but players at his position age fast. Even if they seem ok or say they are that position takes a toll by the end of the year. I dont think that is the issue here though as his power numbers seem ok so i think his lower body is fine which is what i would be worried about in a catcher at this time of year. As chris pointed out his babip is low and a lot of the teams the braves have played lately have employed some type of shift against him and he does not seem willing to bunt against it as he had earlier in the year making them lose one of the fielders on the right.

Weird thing is that when he went down, I thought the Braves were in big trouble, but then they went 10-6 and I thought they showed a lot. But since he has been back, they are 15-15 and like Aaron says above, he's hitting .167 with a .632 OPS. However, a closer look shows that his BAbip is .158 since his return, so he's been pretty unlucky too.
