Ummm….this happened to my brother. He was and is by no means a dead beat dad. In fact the reverse is true. My former sister-in-law makes more $$$. Now, years later, she sent papers again. My brother now has sole custody, per her choice. So sad for the kids, really.

Lets hold up on the dead beat dad stuff. There was no mention that he wasn’t paying merely that she thought he should pay more. If fact it states that he was paying in accordance with a 2006 agreement. Clearly he thinks otherwise which is why she is taking him to court. If the child support he is paying is based on the 1 to 1.5 mil he was earning I’d bet that is a significant sum. The question remaining is it fair.

Of course serving him while wearing a Yankee shirt, .. depending on your pint of view that was either pretty low budget or rather clever. As a Yankee fan I think it’s the latter.

The dude had to know that this summons was coming? No way did this just come out of the blue. He probably had had some discussion with the plaintiff and blew her off so now the world knows he’s a dead beat dad.

Plus the dude’s just 6 games over 500 at 56-50. What did you think you were getting when you traded for him? Cy Young?

Shades of Daisuke last night. Get ahead 0-2 or 1-2, nibble and miss, give up a couple foul balls, then allow a line drive or issue ball four the tenth pitch in on a 3-2 count. That was fun to watch.
