If the Angels do make it, they are throwing their big three Weaver, Haren and Santana against Texas in order just to get into the post season on the final series of the year. There is only one day off this year before the ALDS starts so they’re going to have to start Williams and Pinero in new York. Maybe you get Weaver on three days rest is they drop the series opener. But the angels having to scratch their way into the post season doesn’t set themselves up for a lot of success.

And that is why I have to root for them to make it on the last day of the season. I do NOT want to face Detroit in a short series with their rotation set up how they want it. I want the back end if the Angel staff in the ALDS, not Verlander twice in five days.

I, as a Yankee fan, would prefer the Wild Card come from the East. I don’t want to have to see the Angels in the DS. Not that I don’t think we’re better, but we were just out there and played like crap. As such, the Yankees hold the key to the Wild Card coming from the East.

The Jays did not get the signs the last couple of days. Wells and some of his former team mates have been making fun of each other in a gentle way during the games. He would still be in Toronto if it wasn’t for that contract.

The Angels are playing well in Toronto. On the other hand, Vernon Wells always hits well in Toronto.

Not sold yet, but hoping against hope the Angels sneak in and draw the Yankees – 2009 still stings. I like how the wild card race has tightened especially over the last 10 games, where the Angels have gone a blistering 5-5.
