Yoiwsa , I am a Yankee fan, and whatever bug hit yall puzzles me. Injuries are an excuse. Look where we are with our makeshaft pitchingstaff.I dont believe its Francona as a lot of boston fans claim as he is the ONLY manager in the lasst 100 years to not only get you into the WS but to actually WIN 2.Yall whupped our butts in the 04 playoffs.I have no answer for yalls year this year.But, I do look forward to next year as our games are usually tense great games, win/lose.

His comment wasn’t very legible, but it is correct. They scored 18 against Baltomore 1 game, but 3 combined in their other 2. They score less than three for 3 games strait, then put up double digits to keep their runs per game up.

Boston played 6 games against Toronto this month. Their 2 wins were double digit blow ours. They lost the 4 close games.

Christ, give the guy some credit for trying to be creative. The line-up since Sept. hasn’t been winning so try a change.I’m not a Boston fan, but I hate to see a good manager take an ass whipping and be the fall guy here. Remember this is the same guy that won two championships and HE isn’t slipping and He can’t pitch and hit for these guys. It always comes down to pitching and when your pitching isn’t that good this is what happens. Don’t blame Tito, I’ll bet there’s plenty of teams that would love to have him as a manager.

Smart move with the young RIGHTHANDER on the mound.

Crawford hit .279 with a .791 OPS in August and is hitting .302 with a .835 OPS in September. Since August 1st CC has 14 Doubles and 5 HR – which basically matches his output over the first 4 months.

Ellsbury/Crawford/Pedroia makes the top of the lineup far more dangerous with their ability to hit for average and power, while forcing Pitchers to challenge them because any one of them can steal if they get on.

Putting AGon behind Ortiz will be the interesting feature to watch closely. I think Francona is working with the theory that Ortiz will see a few more grooved fastballs with Gonzalez protecting him and if need be, AGon can bail them out if Papi can’t.

Their runs per game has been skewed by a few games where they’ve scored in double digits (4 – 1). I heard that in the rest of their games, the offense has been worse than Seattle’s.
