He’s been a useful backup for the Yanks… brings lots of energy and some clutch hits as well. NY will now go into the playoffs with 2 catchers (Russell Martin and the two half-catchers of Montero and Posada). It will be interesting to see what Girardi does should anything happen to Martin.
