Bubba Starling could out himself as a Satan worshipper and Dayton Moore still wouldn’t release him. The Royals’ statement reads to me as “we’re more annoyed that the guys got caught than that they were drinking beers”.

Dayton Moore doesn’t tolerate this kind of thing. It’s not Christian behavior. Look for all of these guys to be released or traded by the end of the World Series.

It’s more important for a GM to put his personal imprint on a team than it is too actually put a team on the field that can win.

Because the two have some kind of correlation in his mind.

When I first joined the Marines in 1992 the drinking age on base was 18. I can’t remember exactly when they changed it to 21 – maybe around 1995? Of course back then we didn’t make any money so I doubt that we could afford to drink off-base even if were allowed to.

If this kid and others like him can join the military and die for their country at the age of 18, vote for a President and his political leaders, and be considered an adult in the legal system since he is over the age of 18, then he can have a drink of his choice. The drinking limit age of 21 is wrong and should go back to the age of 18 in this country. Until such time, this is a non-issue story and I hope he and others who do not engage in activities that cause harm to others or himself get away with drinking under age ever time.

If I read the story right they weren’t drinking when the police stopped them and the driver was stone sober. Were the cops looking for underaged kids who just left a football game who had drank but weren’t drunk? seriously? This is how we’re spending taxpayer money now? I can’t even comprehend the rationale for this.

They should be commended for having a driver who hadn’t drank at all. Or, if not commended for it, left the hell alone.
