That lineup?

You mean the same one they will use in the playoffs. Arod was scratched, meaning he would have started. Who should have been in the starting lineup that wasn't? You are a bitter Sox fan expecting a gift from a team that could have trotted out a AAA lineup, but instead played 8 allstars plus Gardener.

Cano, Jeter, Texeira, Granderson, Swisher, Jones, Chavez, Posada,

Yeah, they mailed it in

I say this as a Rays fan in full disclosure.

That was f_cking unbelievable. Down 7-0 in the 8th, and it goes to extra innings. That was the 2 most exciting innings I have ever seen. Ever!!!! I have never seen a more improbable comeback with so much on the line. Maddon trusts .108 hitting Dan Johnson with 2 outs in the 9th. Manager of the year. Comeback of my life!!!! Unbelievable!!!!

Absolutely. He'd still be rested and ready to go for the playoffs. The Yanks don't owe anyone anything - they earned the right to rest who they want, but I would think it would be good to use Rivera there.
