Video of the Day: Matt Kemp’s 39 homers in 39 seconds

Oct 3, 2011, 3:15 PM EDT

UPDATE: Well, so much for that. MLB Advanced Media shut it down in approximately 39 seconds. Sorry.

==========

Because the Dodgers only played 161 games this season Matt Kemp didn’t get a full crack at joining the 40-40 club, so instead he’ll have to settle for 40 steals and 39 homers. And here’s a fun video showing all 39 of those long balls in 39 seconds:

    Haha, you thought MLB would let a video live on the most popular platform for viewing videos. Not on Selig’s watch!

      Look, I know Baseball has never made more money.I read that the attendance figures are strong. TV audiences are up.

      But how is that possible when everything MLB does drives me up the wall. Like hunting down fan videos like this, or blackout restrictions on MLB.tv, or no day baseball for the world series or division series. No non fox TV for Saturday day baseball in the f&*^ing summer, 4 minutes between innings, god bless america (ever notice that the national anthem is never televised anymore but GBA is?)

      I hate them.

    You know what would be more awesome? A similar video of Babe Ruth’s 1927 HR season at 1 HR per second. Title:

    A minute of the Babe.
