Damn, why no chat tonight? Weak-Sauce.

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:43 PM

You’d think this would be the “must live bog” game, wouldn’t ya?

  2. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:45 PM

Forgettabout it! No mo no hitter!

  3. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:48 PM

The manager interview; only TLR says anything of note. So Peralta doubles. Joe getting nervous about AJ again. Gets out the binder…

Can’t wait for the Leyland mumbled interview…

    • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:54 PM

      The binder actually shows that AJ pitches really well against this lineup miraculously…Betemit 6/23, Miggy 3/14, Inge 4/15, A-Jax 1/2, Kelly 0/2, V-Mart 7/27, Magglio 3/14, Peralta 3/13, Raburn 0/3, Santiago 1/4, Delmon 3/14 (Inge/A-Jax/V-Mart/Magglio/Peralta each with 1 HR).

My prediction: the Tigers will end up 6 for 28 tonight against AJ……

      • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:57 PM

        And there was Leyland’s mumbleview…

  4. lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:49 PM

So does Va-AJ just suck out of the stretch or what?

  5. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:50 PM

Not a good series for those named Alex so far.

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:50 PM

Excellent for those named Russel Nathan Jeanson Coltrane Martin Jr.

      • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:51 PM

Ooo burn; Russel Nathan Jeanson Coltrane Martin Jr. loses the ball….

      • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:52 PM

        another wild pitch

      • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:54 PM

Any idea what the record for wild pitches in a post season game is? I think AJ going for it….

      • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:56 PM

        Yes!

      • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:59 PM

        Doesn’t show anything about post-season though……

  6. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:56 PM

Russel Nathan Jeanson Coltrane Martin Jr. like a stud…

    • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:57 PM

      now. steal 2nd

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:59 PM

Leadership quality bunt, runner at third out.

  7. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 9:59 PM

    I hope Nunez saw that

  8. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:01 PM

    Grandyman!

  9. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:01 PM

Grandy! once again, Like a stud…

    • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:03 PM

      LIKE A BOSS!!!

Jeter on the other hand…does not bunt like a boss.

  10. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:02 PM

Probably the right thing to do, walk Cano, face ARod

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:04 PM

And ARod pops out. 2 down with an RBI. 4 – 1.

    • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:05 PM

IF Leyland mumbled through his own binder, it’d show that Cano is 5 for 11 lifetime (regular season) against Porcello…definitely a smart move.

  11. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:03 PM

OK, good time for somebody named Alex to get off the schneid.

    • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:04 PM

He’s 0 fer…but 3 very important RBIs? (trying to see the silver lining)

    • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:04 PM

      productive out

      • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:06 PM

The sac fly; best play in baseball amirite?

      • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:08 PM

Tex on the other hand…COMPLETELY useless, even if it is only because the 1 out RBI groundout/sac fly opportunities are going to A-Rod.

      • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:08 PM

much better than K or GIDP

  12. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:07 PM

    I’m waitin’ on Tex

    still waitin’

  13. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:07 PM

Detroit better make this interesting. As a Beaver Men’s fan all I’m rooting for is extra innings. I got a lot of beer to get thru.

    • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:09 PM

Switch to bourbon and it will be less of a concern!!!

    • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:09 PM

      what’s on tap?

      • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:11 PM

Big Rock Canvas Back Ale alternating with Granville Island Maple Lager.

        Dang. GIDP.

      • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:15 PM

used to enjoy Yuengling, Sam Adams, and Guinness. Haven’t had any in about ten yrs.

      • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:15 PM

Woodford…only the best for the Yanks.

  14. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:11 PM

OK Tex, do it with the leather.

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:14 PM

Does AJ come back out, tho? This is it, the inning of truth, where managers are made or broken. No matter what he does, if the Yankees lose Joe gets knocked for how he handled the pitching. If they win, he’s a genius.

So, AJ or not to AJ, that is the question…

      • presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:16 PM

If I’m Joe, I leave him in for a bit longer. I know he needs a short leash, but I’d give a little slack just yet.

      • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:17 PM

AJ, on a six inch lead.

      • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:17 PM

I think that’s exactly how this plays out…

  15. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:15 PM

Still with Porcello. This is where they get him I bet.

  16. presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:16 PM

    Can Jorge start another one?

    • presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:17 PM

      Not this time, apparently.

      • presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:19 PM

        Damn, Coltrane.

  17. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:20 PM

Russel Nathan Jeanson Coltrane Martin Jr. once again, like a stud…nooooot quite.

Porcello hangs on and we go foth to the 6th & answer the ultimate pitching question; AJ anyone?

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:22 PM

      AJ; he’s baaaaaaaAAAAAaaaack…

      • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:28 PM

AJ gettin’ bailed by his boys…definitely.

    • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:23 PM

      I’m nervous and hopin’

      • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:24 PM

        Jeets!

      • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:26 PM

        more Kmart than Vmart.

      • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:28 PM

        and gone

  18. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:21 PM

    Damn, Fallon ducked again.

  19. presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:25 PM

Just what manner of dark arts did Rothchild tap into in that clubhouse?

    • presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:27 PM

      Put down the phone, Larry!

      • presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:30 PM

Aw well, nice 5 and change, Allan James.

  20. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:27 PM

Kelly: LIke a STUD. That might be it for AJ…

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:30 PM

Seeya, AJ. Did all he could do and now it’s on someone else. If they lose this will anyone blame Joe for the quick hook? I wonder if he has a section on who gets the blame in the binder?

      • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:31 PM

GRANDY! LIKE A TOTAL STUD BOSS!

    • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:31 PM

      Whoa…HTML code…are you a computer? I’m a computer!

  21. churchoftheperpetuallyoutraged - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:31 PM

    Ultimate Zone WHAT! Granderson baby

  22. presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:32 PM

    MVP! MVP!

    …Um, get up, Grandy?

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:33 PM

Dude went flat out and slid like 8 meters using his groin as a rudder. He aint gettin up quick. Owie

      • presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:35 PM

I have no idea what a meter is.
        #truemerkin

      • lukeslice - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:36 PM

Grandy likes to ham it up after great catches like that.

    • cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:38 PM

Trust me, you don’t even want to go 1 meter using you groin as a rudder…unless Drew Barrymoore is…wait, too far…

  23. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:32 PM

    Grandy with the glove, again.

    hope he’s OK

  24. cur68 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:34 PM

    Ok fine. MVP.

    • jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:35 PM

      I concur

      • presidentmiraflores - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:40 PM

I’ll admit: I wasn’t in love with the Granderson trade at the time.

Since October is the month of hyperbole, BEST YANKEE SINCE BABE RUTH!

        haha, sorry

  25. jimbo1949 - Oct 4, 2011 at 10:39 PM
