Geez so not only did he get the crap beat out of him but his team sucks and not only shouldn’t have made the playoffs last year but didn’t even make the playoffs this year. That’s got to suck.

Agreed. In comparison to other franchise, the Giants seem to take a more pro-active role in their community, it has to make San Franciscans feel like the team is a part of their city/community (especially considering that the Giants stadium was almost completely privately financed) instead of just a parasite on it…which, sadly is how most teams behave

Wow. Getting the tube out is huge. My mother-in-law had to be intubated twice when she was hospitalized right before she died. Him getting that out means he’s well on his way to recovery. Incredible story. Bochy just proves there’s a lot more to baseball than wins and loses. Can’t wait to see him throw out the first pitch. Hopefully it’s in the home opener, a traditionally massive crowd on hand to cheer for him.

1st pitch, Giants game next season; that’s an excellent goal. He missed the entire 2011 season, essentially. Its only fitting he participate in the 2012 season in some way.

For some reason, the story of Bochy going to visit and the one about The him and the Giants looking out for the homeless guy that comes to their games makes me wish I was a fan of that team. A tip of the Blue Jays cap to the San Francisco Giants, then. You’ve got another fan.

Yikes, Brian Stow throwing out a first pitch would be as heartwarming, touching, chilling, whatever you want to call it, as when Cooper Stone did to Josh Hamilton about a week ago.
