Well, it took an “act of God” to get rid of him, at least for a while. I’m sure he is not in nearly as much pain as the pain he has caused us over these many years. He is the worst.

I don’t wish anything ill for McCarver, I hope he recovers quickly and lives a long life….but his baseball announcing is all kinds of horrible. An announcer should provide insights to enhance the viewing experience, he is too busy trying to convince people how smart he is…he just gets in the way of the game.

Best of luck to him with his health, but his commentary drove me away from watching baseball years ago. These commentators are compelled to overanalyze so many things to fill the voids in the action, and he’s amongst the worse. If they ever filled the time in with legitimate analysis instead of trotting out cliches all the time that would be one thing, but it’s like baseball is perpetually your grandfather’s game.

I hope he is okay, but I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who actually likes the way he calls a game. Tim to hang it up, Tim! Oh, and Deion Sanders was awesome for throwing water on Tim repeatedly! That was hilarious!
