My understanding of bankruptcy appeals is that they are quick, don’t allow new evidence or testimony, and rarely change the bankruptcy judge’s ruling unless the judge has screwed something up badly in the case law. Inasmuch as McCourt is practically inventing a case without precedent, that Selig wanted him out before he moved into the stadium (big deal, he had the goods oin McCourt no later than we did), as if there’s a crime involved there that would allow a judge to force MLB to accept a tv rights auction if MLB doesn’t want to.

So where can F***k go with this, assuming the judge rules in November as he seems to be leaning, against a tv auction and in favor of MLB? Or rather, how long can McCourt stretch this out if the judge says it’s time for an auction of the club?

Or, will the court see what the McCourts are doing for what it is, a control fraud or looting the corporation for personal gain while sticking it to the creditors?
