David Cronenberg directed both Scanners and Videodrome…and the Brian O’Blivion character from Videodrome is based directly on McLuhan.

It’s a fascinating film, actually.

I had precisely this image in my head watching parts of that press conference on local teevee – except that Ozzie’s head exploded first, and the goo that splattered onto Scrooge McLoria and the Chihuahua ate away at them like the yellow blood from Alien.

Subliminal sexuality? Hmmm….never thought of it that way, any more than I think about sex while throwing up.

Ozzie likely won’t be worth a ticket as neither the English nor the Spanish speaking fans can translate Ozzie speak.
