SP Chris Carpenter, RHP SP Roy Halladay, RHP

No changes for the Phillies, who stick with the same lineup they used in Game 4.

Tony La Russa, however, did not stick with the same group, benching Jon Jay while shifting Skip Schumaker to center field and inserting Nick Punto into the lineup at second base. As promised Matt Holliday will again play through his hand injury, with Allen Craig on the bench.

Why would Tony keep our hottest hitter(Theriot) on the bench, he is killing the Phillies!!!!

Duuuuuhhhh, Punto is a switch hitter…everyone knows that L-R matchups are the dominant factor in who wins baseball games….not talent, nope, certainly not….it is all about which arm a guy throws with or which side of the plate he stands on.

I am a huge Phillies fan ,but they let the Red Birds hang in there,
the Phillies will loose and continue the trend of big team payrolls loosing…Boston, New York & Philly………..damm shame …Howard
Blows, Utley is overrated, Rollins is done,Polanco is done their hole infield stinks,,,Ibanez is done, Victorino is overrated,,, Pence is the only worthwhile OF…..
