sure he wasn't just like cordero wasn't trying to hit pujols when they played they reds but that did not stop duncan and the clowns on the bench from acting like a bunch of babies now did it? face the cards can't accept the fact they no longer own the division like they used to and act like they are so superior to everyone else. how dare you pitch inside but it is perfectly ok for their guys to do it because they would never intentionally hit anybody.Brandon Phillips was right and was the only one with guts to say it. they over react to everything and make it personal. what did grienke say? he said some of his teammates think carpenter is a phony. did he say carpenter was? no he just repeated what his teammates said but they make it like he called him out personally.does not matter how many runs he gave up he and the brewers got the win and that is all that matters. it is nice the cards had a great sept. but sure did not hurt their cause that the braves collapsed and the cards had to play the cubs and astros the final week now did it? braves pull out 2 more wins and the cards do not make it so excuse me if I am not impressed by them backing in.

Yeah...you will find (if you did your homework)...that Prince said he wasn't trying to hit him. Come on Man...it was a freaking 60 mile curve ball from a left handed pitcher...to a left handed batter. As for the Pujols comment....I don't even know how to respond to that garbage. Looks like you may be a little hypocritical yourself with your accolades vs. criticism. Either way...to each his own.

I have a hard time rooting for the Cards because of La Russa. He hides behind the "un-written" rules of the game crap, yet is the first one to call out another team when they "in his view" do something that dishonors the great american sport. A few years back when the Brewers were untucking their shirts after every win, La Russa called them out saying that there's no room for that in the game, yet, Puljous gets a hit and does that point to the sky routine and La Russa has no problem with that. Even worse, he'll order a pitcher to throw at a batter and complain when a team retaliates........he's a complete jerk. Lets see, Braun hits a HR, next batter Prince Fielder, what happens? The only guy I respect on that team is Berkman.

My team was one and done, but I'm rooting for the Brew-Crew!

It was a good start for the Brewers, but not for Greinke, and that is the one redeeming factor to extract from Game 1. He should be scheduled to go again in Game 5, and when your ace struggles it has to be a concern. The Cards are a good fastball hitting team, but the over reliance of breaking balls got Greinke in most of his trouble.

Cards have generally hit well against Gallardo, so the Carpenter match-up looks good, but the Jackson start tonight makes me mighty nervous. St. Louis fans have seen the Garcia blow-up on the road too many times this season, but his next and only other start should be in Game 5 at home. Not sure what the record is for most runs scored by two teams in a 7-game series, but it could be challenged.

One last note, that I discovered today, if the NL series goes 7 games there is no day off before the World Series starts. If either the Tigers or Rangers wrap up their series in 6 or less they are going to have a decided advantage entering the WS.

Great win by the Brewers yesterday. Good solid hitting. They keep coming at you (much like their NL Central counterpart). The huge difference between the Phillies and Brewers (as I have been saying since Friday night)...is the Phillies pitch...pitch...pitch...pitch.
Whereas, the Brewers...pitch...hit....pitch...and hit some more.
With these teams going at it...I expect nothing less than nail-biters the entire series.
Good luck the rest of the way Brewers fans...I just hope the Cardinals have more of it. Go Cardinals!
