Gomez—definitely. Morgan—well, probably, but he wasn’t exactly delivering the web-gems in game 2, which was part of the reason for his benching. The Cardinals lost a lot of games early in the season by prioritizing offense over defense, and the Brew Crew made the same mistake yesterday.

How many times a year would you prefer to have to watch Nyjer Morgan – I don’t mean as a defensive upgrade in center field; I mean, how many times a year would you even want to look at him, period?

I don’t think of him as a center fielder. I don’t think the Brewers know what to do out there. If they had Morgan or Gomez out there, the ball would have been caught and the first inning doesn’t happen. Bad mistake by the Brewers. Defense counts!
