How can a guy who had one pitch, and couldn’t control that one, be a pitching coach? Dude threw 98 but didn’t have a CLUE how to pitch, and failed to ever develop another pitch. I guess you didn’t have to be able to do it yourself to teach it, but this just seems very very odd.

Sure fire way for a baseball fan to know he’s getting old . . .

When players who are within +/-3 years of your age are getting ML pitching coach jobs and GM’s who are 5 years younger than you are moving on to their 2nd job after spending 9 seasons at the first one.

Scott was the man I envited most in my youth. To be a major league pitcher and moonlight as the vocalist of a successful Epitaph Records punk band. That’s two dreams in one.
