Young left the A’s in mysterious circumstances. He was offered a 2 year contract and declined, saying some weird things to the press afterwards.

The all of a sudden he was signing a 2 year deal with boston.

He’s actually a very good Coach by nearly account, but Young just wasn’t a good fit in the wake of Farrell’s departure.

No one f**ks with Farrell.

In fact, I know Farrell wasn’t interested in being locked in for longer than he was but I wish the Red Sox could have had one more year on his exclusivity clause. If they had, the managerial search would have over and done with 3 weeks ago.

Fine by me. Young always seemed to be clueless out there when making mound visits, I know I couldn’t hear what they were saying but I always felt like he was being dragged out there to talk to the pitchers…in which it seemed that he said very little.
