Isn’t that the same guy that tried to say that Pujols wouldn’t make as much money if not for beat reporters? As stated in that post, Pujols will make a lot of money because he is one of the best hitters to ever play baseball, and if he never did a single post-game interview, he would make the same amount and people would want to see him play exactly as much.

…and thank to Bernie for reminding me why I stopped reading his stuff about 20 yrs ago….ugh….what a combination of bad writting and bad narrative.

Yeah, sometimes when you want to demonstrate the acute idiocy of some bufone or other, you just need to repeat their own words back to them. But obviously this is an embittered Brewers fan who, as I think I once saw it explained, enjoys blaming everyone else for their failure but themselves.

Maybe Huey would feel better if he stopped trying to spin an unstable gyro and instead sacrificed a rat at the feet of the Bud Light statue in front of Miller Park.

Just for a little balance – too many accolades spoil the broth, you know – I’m going to re-post here a paragraph of hueylewis’ post from October 22nd when Albert treated the self-entitled media with the contempt it deserves:

“This is a player that continually gets a free pass for a lack of fundamentals, and wants 30 million dollars per year? Give me a break! Pujols left his teammates holding the bag last night. It was clear that he did not want to be questioned about his critical mistake, and just took off. Instead of saying that he made a mistake today,…..Pujols and LaRussa turn it into a joke. All credit to Albert, but I would also point out how stubborn Ron Washington was to actually pitch to him, especially with Mike Gonzalez on the mound in the seventh. Who cares if first base isn’t open?!?! Who would you rather pitch to: Pujols or Holliday? It was pigheaded baseball machismo at its worst.

Don’t get me started on Darren Oliver throwing him an 87-MPH fastball. Plain idiocy.
