Changing prices won’t help. We’re not going to Dodger games because of the prices, we’re not going because the owner is a tool. McCourt still doesn’t seem to get that.

Exactly! I’ve been avoiding Dodger games not because I can’t afford the $8 bucks for a bleacher seat, but because I don’t know which lawyer’s pocket that $8 will be going into.

The sooner McCourt is out, the sooner LA is back to business.

Problem is, most other teams aren’t in McCourt’s desperate straits. He’s not doing this out of overweening paternalism for the deprived and malnourished. He’s doing it because the falloff in revenue is killing him.

If I were a Dodgers fan, this would be joyous news. Now, if other MLB teams could follow suit and cut prices to help fans out in these tough economic times, they would get even more fans to show up.
