Albert Pujols prepares for Game 6 by hanging out at Best Buy

Oct 26, 2011, 11:36 AM EDT

What would you do before playing in Game 6 of the World Series?

Well, if you’re Albert Pujols apparently you’d put on a sleeveless shirt and go hang out at Best Buy:

It’s always nice when sleeveless shirt-wearing people find other sleeveless shirt-wearing people.

And can anyone figure out which DVD he’s holding?

Pretty sure that’s Captain America, which came out on Tuesday.

    • kopy - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:11 PM

Definitely a good guess, but that big star on the back of the DVD cover doesn’t jive with any of the Google Image results for “Captain America DVD”

      • cheshz - Oct 26, 2011 at 1:04 PM

It is Captain America. Notice the star and the writing in the top left corner. http://www.covershut.com/covers/Captain-America-The-First-Avenger-2011-Front-Cover-59738.jpg

  2. WhenMattStairsIsKing - Oct 26, 2011 at 11:43 AM

I’m gonna guess the DVD is Little Big League.

  3. nprakash5 - Oct 26, 2011 at 11:46 AM

I would guess “Angels in the outfield” :)

  4. mdpickles - Oct 26, 2011 at 11:50 AM

That woman could give Albert trouble in an arm wrestling match.

  5. nolanwiffle - Oct 26, 2011 at 11:52 AM

2009 horror film “Hit and Run”.

  6. bucksatan - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:00 PM

Albert Pujols gets paid the big bucks and doesn’t even have a Blu Ray player???

  7. halladaysbiceps - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:00 PM

His bicepts are impressive, but her guns aren’t too shabby either.

  8. phukyouk - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:04 PM

Pfft… Major League I and II

    • WhenMattStairsIsKing - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:24 PM

  9. hasbeen5 - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:08 PM

There’s a big ol’ star on the back, could it be “Walker, Texas Ranger” “Walked by Texas Rangers?

    • hasbeen5 - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:09 PM

Damn, strike through didn’t work. How do I do that?

      • Francisco (FC) - Oct 26, 2011 at 1:34 PM

Let’s see if the server will take it:

could it be “Walker, Texas Ranger” “Walked by Texas Rangers?

      • Francisco (FC) - Oct 26, 2011 at 1:36 PM

There you go, use the “del” tag

      • hasbeen5 - Oct 26, 2011 at 2:41 PM

      • hasbeen5 - Oct 26, 2011 at 2:41 PM

    • stlouis1baseball - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:45 PM

That is great stuff Hasbeen. Good post. Hahaha!

      • hasbeen5 - Oct 26, 2011 at 1:06 PM

        Channels Costanza . . . “I’m Out”

  10. salukis92 - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:10 PM

He likes his Best Buy. Probably the same one where i was standing a foot away from him a couple of years ago in the DVD aisle in west StL county. Love the shirt. At least it’s not a Cubs shirt right? Since that’s where he’ll be going according to all the “experts”.

    • comeonnowguys - Oct 26, 2011 at 2:23 PM

Pretty sure half of those experts are trolling, the other half are meatball fans. Playing the “All the experts” card may not be appropriate in this case.

  11. mvp43 - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:18 PM

Is Albert the one on the left?

  12. Jonny 5 - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:22 PM

American idol, Season 9 “the uncut version”

    • phukyouk - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:26 PM

more likely so you think you can dance

  13. theoneandonlykill - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:26 PM

“How to pick up fat chicks!”

    • ladycardinalfan - Oct 28, 2011 at 1:36 AM

This brainless, uncharitable comment probably came from a skinny, weakling, geek who spends all of his time in a dark grungy basement at a computer thinking up witless, sophomoric comments.

  17. aceshigh11 - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:49 PM

Maybe he’s watching the Shyamalan-directed Mel Gibson film, “Signs”.

    “Swing away, Albert!”

  18. kjkulsrud - Oct 26, 2011 at 12:59 PM

    It’s entourage…

  19. phukyouk - Oct 26, 2011 at 1:21 PM

I googled it. its a copy of LeBrons ” I’m taking my Talents to Miami” ESPN hour. Albert is Practicing for the offseason

  20. kiwicricket - Oct 26, 2011 at 1:56 PM

Can we also confirm that he’s wearing some sort of matching sleeveless tracksuit?

    • cur68 - Oct 26, 2011 at 2:12 PM

Hey Kiwi. Congrats to you and all of Kwi-land on the RWC. Tense game. I trust you had enough beer to see you through the difficulties? Must have been just crazy when the French side decided to get all up in the AB’s grill during the pre-match calisthenics, eh?

  21. ladycardinalfan - Oct 28, 2011 at 12:23 PM

Why is it when a man like Albert Pujols (arguably the best baseball player of this generation!) takes time out of his personal life to take a picture with a fan, no one has anything good to say? It certainly explains why these celebrities so reluctant to do so.

I say loud and clear, “Good for you Albert for making this fan’s day!!!” and “Bring home a winner for the Cardinals – You’re the Man!!!”
