Buck Sholwalter must have the patience of Job. How is it that this man has worked for some of the worst owners in baseball and yet retain his dignity?

Why would anyone in their right mind want to work for this guy? Not only did he run Pat Gillick, one of the best baseball men in the business, out of town, he also fired Davie Johnson the very year he won Manager of The Year. He’s an embarressment to the game of Baseball. While Bud Selig seems to concentrate on the Dodgers plight and the idiot who runs that franchise, he considers Angelos as a trusted friend.

Trying to deny those of us in the DC area our own team was enough reason to detest Angelos. Even worse was ruining a respected franchise, then demanding that we root for it. I feel for O’s fans.

Things won’t change. He’s profiting handsomely from an empty stadium and a bad team. Any owner who ran off Pat Gillick deserves only our contempt.
