I really do not think the Yankees would want a reunion. There seemed to be some questions about the work ethic associated with his recovery from the Lisfranc injury if memory serves me. If he dogged that rehab it may have caused the shoulder problems. If his velocity is down and he is not a ground ball out machine anymore I really do not think he would be a good fit with that cozy right field in Yankee Stadium. Even if the Yankees did not have an opinion about his work ethic.

Kilgore's point is, the Nats have money, and have shown they're willing to spend. But that doesn't mean spending for the sake of spending.

None of the gentlemen you mentioned is a starting pitcher or center fielder. The Nats already have guys to pitch the 8th and 9th. The money spent on Prince could be used to fill multiple holes, with some left over to extend Ryan Zimmerman. Rollins? Why?

The Nats don't have to spend great heaping gobs of cash to get me pumped up. They just have to spend wisely.

Just think, there are a lot of rumors swirling with your team now. The Nats may be interested in bringing in Ryan Madson, Jimmy Rollins and Prince Fielder. Your ownership is prepared to throw some major money around. You have to pumped about that, right?

I can see the Yankees at least "kicking the tires" on him. The only thing is if the Yankees do anything I'm sure it would have to be along the same lines of a deal as Garcia signed last year. May be a $1 to $1.5M guaranteed the rest in incentives. This assumes the Yankees don't do anything via the trade market or with say Darvish or Buehrle for example.
