Kinda funny how the trading of prospect have changed over the last few years. I am not saying it is wrong, but it has changed. Proven major league players were once far more valuable than prospects which still all too often do not make it. This offseason alone should make the basis of a good story on the value of players versus prospects.

I know it’s cool to rip on DM, but besides the trading of the pitcher formerly known as Leo Nunez for Mike HGH Jacobs which trades has Moore really been fleeced on?

Grienke is the only star he’s dealt, and that brought back quite a bit.

I guess you could rip on his free agent pickups (Guillen, Kendall, Meche) but he did pretty well with those last year: Frenchy and Melky.

I might have dopne this deal to be honest. Jurrjens is a decent pitcher and Prado is super versatile. Royals have tons of prospects.

Cain is not much of a prospect…it is the boringly named Wil Myers that is the study prospect.
