Good basball guy, just not a match for the Cards.

Without a strong on field managerial presence to keep the front office on it’s toes this
regime could very well turn into the abyss experienced between the Herzog and TLR years.

Translation – Mo and Dewitt scare the hell outta me left to their own devices.

I think they are looking for some stability….it seems like Simmons changes positions and organizations every year or two.

What about Ted Simmons as a potential candidate?!?! Come on Cardinals. He has a lot more overall experience than Matheny if you are looking strictly at former Redbirds.

I caught an interview with Matheny on ESPN101 Radio St Louis earlier this evening, came off very well.

Beyond some insight on the interview with Mozeilak and Dewitt, he said he’s headed out of the country tomorrow to do some charity work along with Albert – that sure won’t hurt his chances…
