Picture of the Day: Brian Wilson leads LSU over ‘Bama

Nov 6, 2011, 12:01 PM EDT

OK, that headline isn’t at all accurate. But Wilson did pick the Tigers to win “The Game of the Century.”

Here’s the bearded closer, donning an LSU football uniform just before appearing on ESPN’s “Gameday” set as a guest score-predictor. His first-ranked alma mater defeated the second-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night by a score of 9-6. For reference, Game 3 of the 2011 World Series was a 16-7 affair.

    Make it stop.

When this guy’s 15 minutes be over? Or at least the beard’s 15 minutes.

Eh, he’s making good coin and having the time of his life. Laugh or ignore; your choice.

      Thank you for the options.

Well, if you’re the sort of person who enjoys being annoyed, that’s fine, too. But understand that if Brian Wilson got a shave and a lobotomy tomorrow, you’d just transfer your annoyance to some other object. Like how the current free agency compensation rules screw over relief pitchers or that the neighbors’ kids are always on your lawn or how your wife doesn’t rinse her dishes after she eats and everything congeals on them or something else.

You’re right. I’m not with it. The kids these days and their outstanding Brian Wilson Taco Bell commercials! I simply cannot relate to how wonderful those are. He needs a CLOSER to FINISH his GIANT TACO. Wawawawackyyyyyyy!

Let’s just say we are at an impasse when it comes to Brian Wilson.

Everyone in Macondo is happy when Nick Saban lands on his ass.

Damn, man. That is not something I want to see on a full stomach. We have a new front runner for a “Crazy Wilson” picture.

I love everything about this guy. The haters clearly have no recollection of Ali/Spinks. People got tired of Ali, but we ended up with Leon Spinks.

Should’ve posted the video of the beard destroying the helmets face mask. That woulda been sweet. His beard is black ops and that facemask never even happened black ops!!

What’s with all the Brian Wilson hype? He had one great year but lots of guys have great years. If he puts together a few more years like his 2010 year, then great call him a closer and put him in taco bell adds. Right now there are better closers than Brian Wilson. Sure he’s a better closer than me but right now he’s known more for his beard than his ability to close out ball games.

I think this is one of those things I don’t understand kind like why the Kardashians are famous.
