A 3 WAR is way above average. It would put him in the top 35% of starters this year!!! Hell, if anything I undervalued the guy. It is only his sophomore season. It may be coincidence, but since Davis signed his extension buying out his arbitration years, he’s been pretty mediocre.

He benefits greatly from his spacious home park (career home ERA of 3.67, road ERA of 4.92) and fantastic defense (career xFIP of 4.61 and BABIP of .279)…..he walks way too many guys and misses too few bats.
