Sad news about the passing of Charlie Lea today. But which great Expos teams are you referring to? Montreal only won a single division title during the entire franchise history as the Expos. The 1994 club had a tremendous record before that season was aborted, but we can only speculate what that team would have achieved. The 2001 Mariners and 2011 Phillies had great regular seasons, but came up short when it counted most.

Hearing the news today brought back memories, Expos had some great teams during Charlies tenure with the team.

Did he throw a no-hitter against the Dodgers or the Giants? Your post says Dodgers, but article you linked says Giants.

Happy trails, Mr. Lea. I used to like watching this guy pitch back in the day. In the short season (I think it was the baseball strike season) he had that no hitter. He was a pretty good pitcher and fun to watch.
