Don’t give the “they can’t use him” stuff. The cards are not that rich in the pitching dept, that they can’t use an all star pitcher in the rotation. One might make the argument that the rotation can’t use another lefty, but doesn’t hold much water given his talent.

They passed on Burhle because they don’t need him, their rotation for next year is set, and they have other options should injuries arise.

You can’t hire a guy just to pitch to one man on one team. He was much better when he was young, but has some age on him now, and is a little erratic, even though at times he shows great ability.

This will be good. He is cheap of course, and that is the way the birds managers want it. Pass on Pujols and hire a managerwith no experience, then pass on Buehrle because of course he costs too much, then hire Dotel who is too old, but comes cheap. That is how championships are won, right? It is looking better for the Reds all the time.

He owns Ryan Braun. Usually when I see stuff like that, I think sample size. However, I think he has struck him out something like 12 of 13 times. That is being seriously owned. No way around it.
