He had a few clutch hits for KC last season and plays pretty solid defense. I was hoping KC would sign him to backup Perez.

I’m guessing his Spanish is pretty good, too; at Spring Training in Surprise I saw him talking (good-natured) smack en Espanol with a bunch of the Royals players who had wandered over from next door.
