The problem is that the rates of improvement are not the same for everyone, the time/age at which they improve is not the same, and you never know where the ceiling will be until you hit it….so predicting ceilings is almost impossible. For baseball players, most of them hit that ceiling between low A and AA….for guys like Wood, it was AAA…he isn’t even a “AAAA” player, great in AAA, useless against MLB-quality pitching.
