Plus “interest” could mean a non-guaranteed minor league deal. He is worth that kind of gamble.

Right. Being “interested” in a player is such a low bar to clear. Teams take a due-diligence interest in nearly every decent player on the market. That doesn’t he is one of the top 5 or even top 50 people they would like to sign.

I think the guy is worth a shot, at least on a 1 year deal in which he’ll want to prove himself. He’s got some nasty stuff but he seems to get a little rattled when he’s in trouble. He’s way better than a 5+ era.

He’s broken. Joe Torre threw him until his arm couldn’t take it anymore and this is what’s left. The Jon Broxton that was the best reliever in the NL isn’t ever coming back.

HA!!! TEN teams??!? For that scrub? Hey, I can’t pitch either, exactly like BroxTON. Teams should be contacting me, too!

He is worth a second look, but not for a lot of money. I don’t think that ten teams could be in the market for him. Perhaps the Royals or other second tier team.
