I think he’ll be lucky to win one. If he isn’t given the MVP after this year, a year he is pretty unlikely to repeat, when will he be good enough and on a good enough team to get this much MVP attention again?

This is exactly how these “awards” should be looked at. Take it like a grain of salt. It’s funny that Kemp takes it better than some posters here do, as if the award has some deep meaning…. To them. The BBWAA has proven the awards that they’ve devised aren’t even worth their own effort to get it right. So why should anyone else get all worked up about the results?

Kemp will get plenty of MVPs in the future when the Dodgers improve as a team. Braun will always be a competitor, along with Pujols, but I think he’ll probably win at least 5 over the next 8 years of his contract.
