He is easily the pirates best player but a team that is under .500 for the decade can not have untouchable players.

His increase in K’s and second-half slump could be attributed to trying too hard after the Bucs’ surprising first half; if he had maintained his first half level of play, it would have represented a big step toward stardom. As for his defense, maybe his numbers weren’t good this year, but players’ defensive numbers often vary from good to bad from season to season. The underlying skill seems to be there, its not like he put on weight, or projects to, and lose range as a result. Andrew seems like a good bet to play good enough defense in center the next several years.
