Based on what is being reported as his official title with the Padres (Senior Vice President of Baseball Operations), it sure sounds like he’s going to be doing more then just evaluating talent or assisting in Latin American Operations.

Minaya will be assisting in Latin American operations, which makes sense because that’s all he did as the Mets GM anyway.
