As long as the Sox aren’t using him as a starter, I’m ok with it. That depends on them filling the rotation gaps first though.

Problem is there is a limit of 25 men on the roster. And that, IMHO, means the 25 best available. That means the 12 best pitchers.
That problem is made even more daunting by the fact that Wakefield (and herein lies the rub) is no longer (and hasn’t been for years) effective. Proof of that pudding is the reality that last year Wakefield had 9 starts before he finally garnered that elusive 200th win!
And now he claims that the Fenway Faithful DESERVE to see him seek enough more wins to pass Clements and Cy Young on the all-time Red Sox wins list.
Poppycock!
The fans deserve to see the best team we can muster on the field and up at bat. Such a description does not include Wakefield. Time for Tim to wake up to reality and hang up his cleats and his glove.
