I'll take just about any deal that involves us getting rid of Volquez. If anyone is crazy enough to offer someone of value in return it'll be one of Jocketty's better moments as Reds GM.

What's funny is that he was given a lot of credit for putting this team together when he didn't bring very many of the pieces in. Most of that was done by Krivsky and his predecessor.

hey walt what are you waiting for? get rid of this bum now while you can! stop using the tommy john surgery as a excuse for volquez, the guy sucks and always has. except for the first third of the season when the reds got him he has been terrible! what was his record and era before he had the surgery? he came back a year later with no control so they sent him to the minors and he came back before the end of the season and pitched 2 great games and earned a shot at the phillies in the playoffs. I never heard the tommy john excuse when he looked good but then he gets bombed and it was wait till next season. well next season came and he was given the opening day start even before spring training started, which he missed part of because he waited to long to get his visa. he then proceeds to turn down a big extention from the reds and then has one of the worst years ever! the guy is do a raise after the season he had? there is a reason the rangers wanted to get rid of him and it is on the back of his baseball card! invent all the stupid stats you want the guy SUCKS! make the trade now! can't wait to see his era in coors field.
