If average cost of a WAR really was $5M, then the 90 win Cardinal team last year got $265M of value from it’s roster….which, of course, it didn’t, because no one expects a 90 win team to have a $265M roster.

They could sign four more guys for Albert’s pay and still have flexibility.

I’m a Cardinals fan, and I’m glad to see him get his money and still demonstrate integrity. Best player in the league.
