Another call for an MVP re-vote

Dec 12, 2011, 12:20 PM EDT

Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun celebrates his 2 RBIs against the St. Louis Cardinals in the 5th inning of Game 1 in the MLB National League Championship Series baseball playoffs in Milwaukee

Kevin Kernan of the New York Post joins the chorus. Well, the duet:

If Ryan Braun’s 50-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance is upheld, there should be a re-vote for NL MVP. And he should change his name to Ryan Brawn. Or maybe even Ryan Fraud.

Sorry, I need to take the rest of the day off to attend to this nosebleed from the discourse gettin’ all elevated like that.

I would have voted for Kemp but I believe what’s done is done and Braun is the MVP whether the tests are positive, negative, whatever. As Craig mentioned in an earlier post about this you cannot call for a re-vote and potentially denounce Braun as MVP unless you re-vote for all the years Bonds and A-Rod and anyone else linked to steroids or PEDs won any sort of postseason award.

If ANYTHING they can do something similar to when Reggie Bush had to give up his Heisman and leave the award for that year vacated. I don’t agree with that logic but I believe Braun should keep his award.
